Milestone
- 1985 - Organised historical gathering (first of its kind, under one roof in RSA) in Mt. Nelson hotel of all business organisations – attempting to achieve one voice for businesses under the auspices of THE New Southern Africa Club.
- 1999 – 2001 (3 yrs) Chairman OPUS ONE – Informal Strategic Advisory Sounding Board (7 members) to Premier Gerald Morkel of Western Cape Province. Co-initiator, with Premier Gerald Morkel, of today’s Democratic Alliance. Facilitated separate initial discussions with Political Party Leaders, which finally led to the formation of the DA.

- 1970 Won chairman’s prize (Dr. Jan S. Marais) for having produced most long term assurance sales nationally in Trust Bank group.

Operated from Trust Bank Centre, now called Absa Centre Cape Town, since 1972 to 2001 (29 years),
1994 – 1995 (2 yrs) Elected to first transitional Executive Council of Cape Town Chamber of Commerce.
Served on Facilitating Committee, creating one entity; Cape Town Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
